The UP Materials Science Society (UP MSS) is a duly recognized nonprofit, academic student organization of the University of the Philippines Diliman. Established in 1999, the organization continues to uphold its mission of promoting Materials Science and Engineering, all while instilling integrity, excellence, professionalism, and camaraderie among its members.
The MSS Post serves as the official online newsletter of UP MSS. Launched in 2020, it is an online repository of articles on the organization’s events, including the Materials Challenge (MatCh), the Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) Summit, the Flower Sale, and more, and the organization’s Wisdom Wednesdays, which is a weekly effort to focus on various subjects and concepts through the lens of Materials Science and Engineering.
